Winter in Folsom means one thing – the return of the seasonal ice skating rink in Historic Folsom. Opening day is November 11, 2023. For families, it’s the perfect opportunity to come together, make cherished memories, and enjoy the magic of the holiday season. Our family had an absolute blast last season with the fire pit, s’mores, and, of course, ice skating. Here’s why you should gear up for family togetherness and create joyful moments at this must-visit attraction that’s perfect for all ages.

Reserved Fireside Seating: A Cozy Experience for Your Group

This season, make sure to reserve fireside seating for your family or friends. Imagine warming up by a crackling fire during your ice skating session, the aroma of s’mores in the air. It’s the best seat in the house, or should I say, on the rink. Make your experience complete by adding on a S’mores kit – a real treat for all ages. These firepits are in high demand, so be sure to reserve early online to secure your spot. Group seating is available for up to 10 people, ensuring that you can share the warmth with your loved ones.

A Decade of Winter Tradition: The Historic Folsom Ice Rink

Ever since 2010, this charming 7500 square foot circular ice rink has encircled the iconic train turntable in Folsom. It’s no wonder it’s the heart of holiday entertainment in our beloved city. This ice rink is more than just a source of fun; it’s a cherished Folsom tradition, welcoming families for more than 60 days of pure enjoyment. And, even more than that, it’s an invitation to become a part of our vibrant Folsom community.

A Joyful Gathering for All Ages

The Historic District Ice Rink is more than just a place to skate; it’s a place to create magical moments for the entire family. It’s also a fantastic venue for private get-togethers and birthday parties. It is the ideal setting to celebrate togetherness.

Convenient Access and Free Parking

Parking is a breeze at the Historic Folsom Ice Rink. There’s free parking available in the parking structure (except on major event days) located at 905 Leidesdorff. This location is conveniently adjacent to the ice rink. If you prefer public transport, you can arrive by Light Rail, which is just a few steps away from the Ice Rink. The goal is to make your visit as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.

The ice rink opens on November 11th and welcomes skaters until mid-January. The best part? It’s open every day, including holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. So, whenever the festive spirit strikes, you can gather your family for a day of winter fun. (check their social media page for any serious weather updates)

The Historic Folsom Ice Rink is where the magic of winter comes alive. It’s a place for families to bond, for friends to celebrate, and for everyone to make unforgettable memories. Don’t miss out on this cherished Folsom tradition, and get ready to skate into the season with your loved ones.
